Mill Pond Trail Plan
In 2009 New London completed a Downtown Master Plan, which identified Fifteen Elements for improving downtown New London. One of those elements was the Mill Pond Trail Loop, a vision for a trail that would link downtown to nearby water resources. Conceptually, the Mill Pond Trail Loop would encircle the mill pond as well as make a circuit around and across a portion of the Crow River below the dam. In 2011, funding was provided by the Kandiyohi County State Health Improvement Program (SHIP) to take the next step toward implementation of that trail loop.
