City Government
The City of New London has a mayor-council form of government. The city council consists of a mayor and four council members, who are elected at large. The mayor serves a two year term and and the council members serve staggered four-year terms.
The city administrator is responsible for the administration of policies and carrying out city council directives.
Our Planning and Zoning Commission advises and makes recommendations to the city council on planning and zoning issues.
Our EDA Commission advises and makes recommendations to the city council on economic development issues.
